Iwobi 5th EPL Goal Not Enough To Help Fulham Avoid Defeat At Wolves

Alex Iwobi late goal was not enough as Fulham lost 2-1 away to Wolverhampton Wanderers in Saturday’s Premier League fixture.

It was Iwobi’s fifth goal in the league and his sixth in all competitions for Fulham this season.

He has now scored two goals in his last three games for the London-based club.

Calvin Bassey was also in action for Fulham and played for 90 minutes.

Iwobi scored in the 98th minute which was only a consolation as Wolves held on to claim all three points.

Fulham are 12th in 35 points in the league standings after 28 games played.

In another Premier League game, new Super Eagles invitee, Gabriel Osho, was in action for struggling Luton Town, who needed a late goal to secure a 1-1 draw away to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

Luton went into the game against Palace on the back of five straight defeats.

Osho was on from the start of the game before going off on 81 minutes for Luton’s scorer Cauley Woodrow.

It was Osho’s 16th appearance in the Premier League this season and he has two goals.

Palace looked to be heading for the win after Jean-Philippe Mateta gave them the lead on 11 minutes.

But in the 96th minute, Woodrow scored to earn Luton a share of the spoils.

Luton remain in 18th spot on 21 points and three points away from safety in the league table.
