Africa Games 2023: Uganda Not A Threat To Flying Eagles — Bosso

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso says his team is battle ready for their first Group B fixture at the African Games 2023.


Nigeria will be up against the Hippos of Uganda at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday night (today).


It will be a repeat of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations contest which the Flying Eagles won 1-0.


Bosso, who named familiar faces like Daniel Bameyi , Daniel Daga and Nathaniel Nwosu in his squad insisted his team ready for action.

"We have prepared a lot for this competition," Bosso told a press conference.


"The players are disciplined and ready for action.We are not only counting on the talents of the players but also the support of the Nigerians living here in Ghana to encourage and support the boys."


The Flying Eagles will hoping to better their performance from the previous edition in Morocco where they finished second.


Nigeria last won won gold medal in the football event at the Africa Games in 1973.
