Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has praised Fulham's duo, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey for their impressive performance in the Whites victory over Arsenal.

Iwobi and Bassey were at their best in Marco Silva's side 2-1 win against the Gunners at the Craven Cottage.

The Gunners make a perfect start to the game with Bukayo Saka tapping home five minutes after Bernd Leno parried Gabriel Martinelli's shot on his path.

However, Fulham took the game to Arsenal and responded, ending a run of three Premier League games without a goal as Raul Jimenez converted Tom Cairney's cross to bring the hosts level.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid fired home the winner in the 59th minute to make it a happy end of year for Marco Silva's side.

Bassey completed 100% take-ons, 93% pass accuracy, 76 touches, 60 passes, 5 final third entries, 5 x possession won, 5 clearances (most), 5 duels won, 3 tackles made and 2 interceptions.

Oliseh took the social media to celebrate the duo.

"Extremely impressed by the maturity and discipline put up Versus Arsenal, by Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi as they played decisive roles in Fulham's victory - over a seemingly, mentally tired Arsenal. Encouraging for the AFCON. Una do well !!à sir,"the former midfielder wrote on his X account.
