To Renovate His Office in Cross Rivers, the Governor Would Spend N5 billion

The Governor’s Office in Calabar will be renovated at a cost of N5 billion, according to Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu.

Otu reportedly revealed this during a conversation with the media and emphasised that the governor’s office ought to serve as the state’s compass.

The governor promised to update all of the state liaison offices in the country to depict the same quality and represent the image of the state.

Otu added that the governor’s office is not befitting of the status of the governor; hence, it is appropriate to restore it to a quality that will attract investors who would do business with the state.

He also promised transparency in the renovation project, which will cost between N3 and N5 billion.

His statement:

“I will not stop spending money to make the governor’s office very befitting. It ought to be the signpost of the state. I will do the same in all our liaison offices.

“It’s when you make your abode or office befitting that it will add value and appeal to investors. Filthy environments and poor architectural outlooks can discourage

“The renovations will be done with transparency. It is estimated that the costs of the renovations will be between N3 and N5 billion. But for now, the contractors are working pro bono.”
