Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the captain of Portugal, will not be able to play in Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifying game against Luxembourg.
The forward for Al-Nassr got a yellow card in Friday’s 1-0 win over Slovakia.
Ronaldo was lucky not to get more penalties when he accidentally kicked his former teammate Martin Dubravka in the face.
But referee Glenn Nyberg chose to just give Ronaldo a yellow card, and a VAR review didn’t change that.
Ronaldo is now suspended because the yellow card he got was his third in the run-up to the European Championship.
