NNPP Supporters Hold Special Prayers for Yusuf’s Victory Ahead Of Tribunal Verdict

Before the Election Petition Tribunal’s decision, thousands of New Nigeria People’s Party followers held special prayers in Kano on Thursday for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s success at the tribunal.

Remember that the APC is contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s decision to name Kabir-Yusuf of the NNPP as the winner of the March 18, 2023, governorship election.

Special prayers were held at the six main entrances to Kano: the Katsina Road, the Gwarzo Road, the Madobi Road/Sharada, the Zaria Road, the Maiduguri Road, and the Hadejia Road.

Supporters of Kwankwasiyya prayed for God to decide the outcome as the tribunal was about to decide the governorship election dispute.
Top state government officials, lawmakers, and well-wishers also came to the prayer sessions.

At one of the prayer sites, Zaria Road, the State Chairperson of the NNPP Women Group, Hajia Zuwaira Abubakar, said that the prayers were being held against everyone who was trying to stop Governor Yusuf from winning in court.
She said, “The prayers were set up to ask Allah to help the governor win at the tribunal against all those who are working against him.”
Remember that this is the second time that Kwankwasiyya (NNPP) followers have prayed in this way in the old city.

The All Progressive Congress filed a case challenging Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf’s victory over Governor Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party. The Kano State Election Case Tribunal will decide on the petition on August 22, 2023.

INEC, Kabir-Yusuf, and the NNPP are the people who have to answer the case.

The three-person panel of the Election Petition Tribunal, which was led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, said that the tribunal would let everyone know when the decision would be made once all parties had given their final written speeches.
