According to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), the power outage currently being witnessed in Abuja is a result of a system failure.
This was announced by AEDC on Thursday in a message posted to its Twitter account.
Customers in its franchise region were reassured that they had made an effort to find a solution to the situation.
“The Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) wishes to inform its customers that the power outage currently being experienced is a result of a system failure from the national grid in the early hours of today, September 14, 2023.
“Be rest assured that we are working with the relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon as the grid is stabilized.
“We appeal for your patience,” the statement read.
