A massive building of over 500 rooms collapsed on Sunday around the Ketu area in Lagos State. The building submitted itself suddenly with a very loud sound, just after over 500 residents in the building had escaped.
The story building was formerly used as a private school before being converted into a residential building by the owner.
While it rained cat and dog on Saturday 16th of September, a part of the Building was said to collapse during the Heavy rain.
Lots of Properties were trapped and destroyed in the building as the Residents weren’t able to get their Properties before the fall of the Building.
Ibrahim Farinloye who happens to be the Territory Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also confirmed the collapse of the building.
He said “Two persons had partial injuries and are responding to treatment. It was a school turned residence housing more than 500 people. It partially caved in on Sunday afternoon,”
As of the time of filing this report, parallel Facts understands that there are no lives lost in the collapse of the Building, bar the slightly injured ones.
