The Greatest Deception In Modern Christianity (Part 2) -By Joe Dauda

0

Anytime there is disagreement among Christians concerning any particular doctrine, you must have the maturity to be objective enough to accept the sad fact that, assuming one of them is correct, all the others that do not agree with that one are wrong. This is reality, no matter what the doctrine is. And the reason is simple. The Bible says God is not the author of confusion. The truth of God is one and is specific. Thus, it is error or false doctrine that is primarily responsible for the disunity in Christianity. It is the real reason. No wonder, while praying that all His disciples may be one, Jesus Christ said to the Father:

“Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth.” John 17:17.

Technically speaking, the main reason why majority of Christians have been deceived about end time prophecy (such as the issue being tackled in this piece) is due to a lack of awareness of a certain prophecy in the prophetic Book of Daniel. Note this prophecy very well for it is the key to defeating this widespread deception and also every false doctrine in modern Christianity. You will later recall this bold statement and realize it was accurate.

Daniel 12:4
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

Whether wholly or partially, angel Gabriel, speaking on God’s behalf, commanded Daniel to seal his book. Since the Book of Daniel is primarily about end time prophecy, it means that, except a person understands that sealed portion of the Book of Daniel, their understanding of end time prophecy will be flawed; it will be incomplete. And, as the saying goes, half knowledge is dangerous.

The Book of Daniel is primarily about the end times and it is not for nothing that it was the only Book specifically mentioned by Jesus Christ as required reading/reference material for understanding His end time prophecies. See Matthew 24:15. The Book of Daniel is about the end times. Even the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel Chapter 2 climaxes with the second coming of Jesus Christ. Daniel 2:44.

Interestingly, the same Daniel gives the final consequence of a lack of understanding of his Book.

Daniel 12:10
“None of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”

However, as long as you think that “the wicked” referred to in Daniel 12:10 are ordinary sinners, you will miss the point. The prophecy is actually saying that, among those who will make an attempt to understand the end time prophecies in the Book of Daniel, there will be some who will not understand. And the Bible refers to them as wicked. This is sad.

Note that ordinary sinners would not try to understand end time prophecy, nor would they make any effort to read the Book of Daniel. So these so-called “wicked” are actually within the church. It is those who will attempt to understand but be unable to do so. The calamity of their lack of understanding is a consequence of their trying to understand the prophecies of Daniel without being aware that there is a sealed portion of the prophecies, which must be understood for a perfect understanding of Daniel. It is either they know about this sealed portion but do not realize the implication of not understanding it, or they are even wholly unaware of the existence of the sealed portion. Whatever the case, they believe they have an understanding of Daniel.

Let it be clearly stated that the “wicked” in Daniel 12:10 are not completely ignorant of everything in the Book of Daniel. They understand a whole lot of things in the Book of Daniel, such as, “the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32). They may even understand some of the lucid prophecies, especially in Daniel Chapter 2. But because they do not understand the sealed portion of that critically important end time Book, their situation is actually worse because they believe they know but will absolutely be deceived by Satan, who will leverage on their ignorance of that little but highly consequential sealed portion to insert error into their understanding of end time events. These people require genuine humility to save their lives because they think they understand the Book of Daniel. Their case is different from that of an ordinary sinner who does not know and does not think he knows and is thus more susceptible to being taught the Book of Daniel — including the sealed portion. Part of the objectives of this piece is to convince those who think they understand the Book of Daniel (and end time prophecy) that they actually do not. And the reason for their regrettable ignorance is lack of understanding of that sealed portion referred to in Daniel 12:4.

In essence, what I’m saying is that, largely, it is that sealed portion that differentiates students of Daniel’s prophecy into the “wise” and the “foolish”. No insult is intended here and this is not a suggestion that anybody who understands the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel is better than those who do not. Usually, the grace of God works from Mr. A to Mr. B, without meaning that Mr. A is better. In fact, Mr. A must be very careful because of an alarming prophecy by Jesus Christ Himself that “many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first.” Matthew 19:30.

How Do We Understand The Sealed Portion Of The Book of Daniel?

First of all, which specific part of the Book of Daniel was sealed?

Daniel 8:26
“And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.”

To “shut up” the vision is the same thing as to close it; to seal it, as proven by Daniel 12:4.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book . . .”Daniel 12:4

Shut = Seal = Close = Make human understanding impossible

Ok. So it is specifically the vision of the “evening and the morning” that was sealed.

But what is the vision of the “evening and the morning”?

This is where you may need a King James Version of the Bible to receive this key knowledge of end time prophecy. And this may be why there are countless versions of the Bible today — to hide this critical knowledge from the people of God. Note that a few of these other versions of the Bible are important and the KJV is not without one or two errors: but still, it is the KJV that can help you in understanding Daniel.

Back to our question.

What is the vision of the evening and the morning, which, according to Daniel 8:26, is the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel?

The vision of the “evening and the morning” is the vision stated in Daniel 8:14.

“And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

The word “days” in “two thousand three hundred days” is actually “evening and morning”.

How so?

Just read Daniel 8:14 from a King James Version of the Bible and look at the margin where the word “days” is explained as “evening and morning.” It’s that simple.

Using the information in the margin of the KJV, Daniel 8:14 could very well be stated thus:

“And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

The above is definite proof that Daniel 8:14 is the vision of the evening and the morning and, according to 8:26, it is definitely also the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel. It may seem little, but think about it as a key. Remember that a key shuts doors and seals doors. Without that little key, you don’t get to enter a house — no matter how large it is. You may look at the house from outside, but you cannot enter. Without understanding that seemingly little sealed portion of Daniel, you cannot join the company of the wise, as identified in Daniel 12:10, who truly understand the Book of Daniel; you must remain with the wicked, who try but fail to understand the Book. May God forbid!

For those who do not know how the margin (at the middle of every page of a KJV Bible) helps in understanding the text of the Bible, consider this easy example.

2 Kings 18:18
“And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe . . . “

Our focus is on the word “scribe.”

You will see the word “N” in front of the word “scribe” to call your attention to the fact that it has a margin entry. And when you look at verse 18 in the margin, you will see that the word “secretary” is written down. Every proficient English speaker knows that “secretary” is a synonym of the word “scribe” and the Bible translators added the word “secretary” to the margin to help capture the full meaning of the word “scribe”.

Bearing the above in mind, we realize that the word translated as “days” in Daniel 8:14 also means “evenings and mornings” and that was why “evening and morning” was written in the margin. The idea is to communicate a full day (which contains both evening and morning) because you can also say “day” when you do not mean the full 24-hour period that contains evening and morning. The margin (in Daniel 8:14) wants the reader to understand that the “2300 days” mentioned are complete days. This is apparently because the 2300 days actually refer to 2300 years. In prophecy, a day is equal to a year but a prophetic day that equals a year must be a complete day of 24 hours, which consists of an evening and a morning.

Do you get it?

So, for emphasis, we have just proven that the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel is Daniel 8:14. It was what Gabriel was referring to when he commanded Daniel to shut up the vision of the evening and the morning, in Daniel 8:26. The vision of the evening and the morning is the vision of Daniel 8:14. For those who want evidence that it was Gabriel that was speaking to Daniel in Daniel 8:26, see Daniel 8:16.

Note what else angel Gabriel said to Daniel in Daniel 8:26, after commanding him (on behalf of God) to “shut up the vision” of the evening and the morning.

Daniel 8:26
“For it shall be for many days.”

Indeed, the 2300 days mentioned in Daniel 8:14 actually refers to 2300 years. And this day-for-a-year principle of prophetic interpretation is well established in the Bible, making the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 the longest time prophecy in the Bible because it covers over two millennia. Just read Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6 to understand this principle.

But how many Christians are aware of Daniel 8:14, which is the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel and without which you can never fully understand the prophecies of Daniel about the last days? How many Christians know where in the Bible this sealed portion of the Book of Daniel was unsealed? How can Christians understand the end time prophecies of Jesus Christ if they do not understand the prophecies of Daniel, to which Christ referred in Matthew 24:15?

Can you now see how it became possible for Christians to read 2 Thessalonians 2:3 and still believe that the Antichrist will never show up until the church has been raptured?

Can you now see how Matthew 7:21-23 will be fulfilled? Please endeavor to read that strange portion of the Bible right now. That very disturbing statement by Jesus Christ prophesies a mighty surprise awaiting Christians who call Him Lord and who are not hypocrites and who have enough faith to preach in His name, cast out devils in His name, do many wonderful works in His name, and yet get chased out of His presence and called workers of iniquity at the very end. By the time you understand the mystery of the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel, you will bow in worship to God for His wisdom and power and see the world with new eyes. You will also understand how Matthew 7:21-23 will be fulfilled. You will understand how sincere and well-meaning Christians will do their best and still be lost. Remember Daniel 12:10

Daniel 12:10
“None of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.”

And remember that this so-called “wicked” are not wicked in the ordinary sense of the word. Their wickedness is in rejecting the knowledge of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2: 10) and that shall not be your portion in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. But if you reject the truth because you are thinking of your pastor or thinking of all the inconveniences you will suffer if your church ever finds out that you believe this truth, do not be surprised when the Bible refers to you as “wicked” and do not blame anyone for your ignorance. Never forget that the sincere Christians in Matthew 7:21-23 were called workers of iniquity by Jesus Christ. If sincere people who consider Jesus Christ Lord and address Him as such and have enough faith in Him to heal, cast out devils, and preach the gospel can be denounced as workers of iniquity, you need to be very humble and receptive so as to grasp this knowledge, which you are receiving freely. I don’t believe majority of us can even boast of the credentials of the people in Matthew 7:21-23; yet, see how they ended.

This is a humble call for you to pay close attention to this explanation about the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel.

The Book of Revelation, rightly understood, is a commentary on the end time prophecies that Jesus Christ already gave in Matthew 24. But never forget that Jesus Christ specifically referred to the Book of Daniel in His prophecies in Matthew 24. See verse 15. This means that, to understand the end time prophecies of Jesus Christ and the Book of Revelation, you have to understand the Book of Daniel. And that brings us back to Square One. You cannot fully understand the Book of Daniel because it contains a portion deliberately sealed by God. Interestingly, the key to understanding the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel is in the Book of Revelation.

Welcome To Revelation Chapter 10

To follow this teaching, you will have to read the whole of Revelation Chapter 10. If you continue reading this piece without reading Revelation Chapter 10, please do not expect to understand what follows. To encourage you, please note that Revelation Chapter 10 only contains 11 verses. Whether you understand what you are reading or not, just read on.

Before ending this Part 2 of this series (The Greatest Deception In Modern Christianity) the only points I would like to highlight are in verses 2, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of Revelation Chapter 10. I will eventually explain the connection between the entire Revelation Chapter 10 and the Book of Daniel, and why majority of Christians, except they get to understand the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel, will be considered “wicked” and would never understand the vital aspects of end time prophecy, which will ultimately make them worship Satan (by worshipping the beast) while sincerely believing they were worshipping Jesus Christ. Rev. 13:4.

Point Number 1

The most remarkable secret in Revelation 10 is that it contains the process through which the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel was unsealed — or opened. Note that the Book of Daniel is the only Book of the Bible that has a sealed portion, with reference to end time prophecy. The only other portion of the Bible that resembles this is Revelation 10:3-4. In that passage, seven thunders were said to have uttered their voices (apparently with a message) but John was forbidden from even writing down what these thunders had uttered. This is unlike the case of Daniel. In Daniel’s case, he wrote down the prophecy (Daniel 8:14) but was told to seal what he had written “even to the time of the end”; see Daniel 8:26 and 12:4. In other words, until the time of the end, you can read the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel 100 times and pray all you want — but you will never understand it. This sealed portion of the Book of Daniel is what was referred to as “a little book” in Revelation 10:2.

What was the condition of that little book that tells us it was the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel and that the understanding was about to be revealed?

Revelation 10:1-2
“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open:”

The little book was open. And open is the opposite of closed, which is a synonym of the word “sealed.” This means Revelation 10 is the process through which the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel was opened — and this will be proven through the Bible and Church History before the end of this series.

Point Number 2

What else is contained in Revelation 10 to give a clue about the fulfillment of this amazing prophecy?

Revelation 10:8-10
[8]And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
[9]And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
[10]And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

So this little book will be digested after being eaten, but the initial impression will be very different from the eventual understanding. If a meal is sweet in the mouth but bitter in the stomach, it suggests a disappointment. What this means is that the understanding of the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel will be after a disappointing experience that first appeared as sweet as honey but later turned bitter. As we go along tackling this issue, you will see how Daniel 8:14 was unsealed after a very painful experience known in Church History as The Great Disappointment. This experience, rich in prophetic significance for the church of the last days, was locked in history by our omniscient God so that no king or emperor, pastor or bishop, friend or foe, will ever be able to tamper with the correct interpretation of the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel. So that the saints will not mistakenly worship the beast, who will be so crafty and deceptive he would nearly achieve that feat. Remember that Satan felt confident enough to try to deceive Jesus Christ Himself into worshipping him. Matthew 4:8-10. So he does not lack the confidence to try to deceive the very elect, who, but for the grace of God, will happily worship the beast. I humbly declare that the knowledge in this piece is part of that grace of God which will empower the saints to defeat the Antichrist and Satan.

Point Number 3

What was to follow this disappointing sweet-bitter experience in Rev. 10:8-10?

John, as representative of the people who will finally understand this sealed portion of the Book of Daniel, was the one that dramatized this prophecy by being told to eat the little “open” book. When he tasted the book, it was sweet as honey in his mouth. But when it got to his belly (when he digested the book or when he understood what the book really meant) it was bitter in his stomach. After this disappointing experience, John was told:

Revelation 10:11
“And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

Whatever this means, it means that the understanding of the sealed portion of the Book of Daniel will include initial great excitement, then a disappointment, and then a worldwide preaching of the content of that book, for the angel said:

“Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”

This is a euphemistic way of saying “thou must prophesy again before the whole world.”
